News from the Newberry

I have the privilege of announcing that for 2018-2019 I will hold the John S. Aubrey Fellowship from the Newberry Library (Chicago). During my month in residence I will dive into the (rather copious) records of Ann Barzel towards an essay tentatively titled: “The Doyenne of Chicago Dance: Ann Barzel as Champion, Collector, and Critic”.

Many thanks to Judith Hamera, Harold C. Livesay, and Susan Manning for their support of my pursuit of this project!
